Telescopic Rails
Telescopic Rail Guides are designed to minimize friction in drawers and similar sliding applications. They are also referred to as telescopic extensions or telescopic extension supports.
A telescopic rail typically consists of at least two intersecting guide rail profiles. Cost-efficient designs use sliding guides, while high-performance versions employ roller bearings or ball elements to ensure smooth and precise movement under demanding conditions.
Telescopic rails are divided into the following groups according to their extension capabilities:
- Material: Cf53 (1.1213)
- Hardness: 59–65 HRC (approx. 5% of the diameter)
- Precision ground, tolerance h6
- Surface roughness: Ra ≤ 0.3
- Straightness: max. 0.1 mm/m
